Isetan Department Store, Japan
Established in 1886, Isetan aims to become the department store that provides customers dreams and excitement of shopping, with “customer first” philosophy. By taking advantage of the remodel grand open of Isetan Shinjuku Store, 6th of March 2013, Mitsukoshi Isetan Holdings introduced 66 digital signage screens on vertical line of two escalators in the store.
DISE, represented by FunFactory, took the core system for this solution. With a maximum of six screens placed beside each escalator, events and commercials are shown, as well as guidance for each floor. The content on all of the screens can be changed at the same time and are synchronized in constant intervals.
DISEs excellent performance in synchronization allows the screens to synchronously change without any artifacts or other behaviors that could impact the overall impression, still maintaining full resolution on every screen. With the screens in place the escalator area has become vivid and bright and a great spot to promote and introduce new products.
With DISE, the user is capable to create, schedule and distribute content to their screens from one central location. A DISE system is easily operated with full control of and attention to all screens on every floor. Despite the fact that some areas are running NoBorders (synchronized setup) you as a manager could still manager and edit content for the entire setup in one go. DISE system is scalable and more screens can be added in the future.
Simple floor guidance or static digital signage as well as more advanced digital signage art; all types of content are possible and controllable with DISE.
